Our story may sound familiar. On the morning of December 16, 2008, we were awakened by a knock on the door. It was Federal agents serving a search warrant. Just nine months lat-er I was in prison and my wife, Lisa was left in a world of loneliness, fear, anxiety and heartache. We had no idea what to expect as we spent those months before my incarceration searching for insights into what to expect. We were in the dark as to how to prepare for “our” six-year prison sentence. It would have been so helpful to have someone who had been there to come alongside us to help us navigate the uncharted waters we were entering. Hence, the Paul Project. We are extending our hand to those entering the challenging times prior to incarceration, to offer hope and encouragement, that through Christ all things are possible. We want to share the experience, strength and hope God gave us to turn what could have been the end, into a transformative beginning. Ultimately, God used the time to help us overcome addictions, to heal our marriage and to deepen our faith. He can do the same, and more for you.
In His Service, David and Lisa Chatham
